Trial on hold for Milwaukee homicide suspect due to key witness missing

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee murder trial is on hold because a key witness is missing.

Darnell Kimble, 29, was about to go on trial for the 2019 murder of Cherron Miller. She was shot at a home near 52nd and Locust. But because an essential witness failed to show, the case was dismissed.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office tells CBS 58 the search is on for that witness and they intend to resume the prosecution of Kimble once the person is found.
