Trial For Man Accused Of Stabbing Bus Passengers To Begin

The trial for a 19 year old man accused of robbing and stabbing two women on a Milwaukee County Transit bus last April is expected to begin Tuesday.

Police say Jerome Newell, 19 years old, forced a 14-year-old girl off of a bus near 35th and Silver Spring. 

Once out of sight, Newell then stabbed the teen in the neck and took her phone.

The second victim was an adult woman.

Both of victims survived the attacks.

The trial is expected to last 3 days.
