A set of new murals is adding more color to downtown Milwaukee.
The 10 paintings are part of Wisconsin Avenue's Utility Box Project. It honors the strip's rich history and progress.
The art is meant to be a celebration of diversity in architecture and people as well as a positive outlook for the future.
Artist Mauricio Ramirez created all 10 of the utility boxes. They'll be on display all summer in downtown Milwaukee. The utility box mural project is just one of several arts initiatives transforming Wisconsin Avenue.
The 10 utility boxes that have been transformed this summer include:

o 411 E. Wisconsin Avenue
o 200 E. Wisconsin Avenue
o 707 N. Plankinton Avenue
o 703 N. 2nd Street

o 700 N. 6th Street
o 706 N. 9th Street
