BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities say a 63-year-old man was seriously injured in an ATV accident Friday, Jan. 14.

Racine County Communications Center received a 911 call for an ATV accident on Browns Lake, about 200 yards west of the Cedar Park Beach, around 3:45 p.m. Dispatch was told that a man was lying unresponsive on the ice.

Sheriff's deputies arrived within minutes and began life-saving measures, and the town of Burlington resident was transported to an area hospital before being transferred by Flight for Life to a regional trauma center. 

According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, an initial investigation indicates the ATV operator lost control and rolled over. 

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the incident. 

The Racine County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are continuing an investigation.
