Tips for taking care of pets in hot weather

With the first real heat wave of summer arriving it can be easy to forget about our four legged friends. Pets should never be left unattended in a car as temperatures can quickly reach deadly levels.
When pets must be outside, make sure they have protection from heat and sun and plenty of fresh, cool water. Watch for hot asphalt which can burn sensitive pet paws.
