Tierney Music Fund Launched with Special Taste of Home Event at Irish Cultural and Heritage Center

CBS 58 News is looking ahead to a special tribute for a long time member of the community.

Dick Tierney is sorely missed at the annual St Patrick's Parade.

His work to restore an historic landmark, The Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, on Milwaukee's west side is part of a legacy that will come to life this Saturday.

The Spirit of Home, A Taste of Ireland Fundraiser will allow members of the public to enjoy Irish whiskey, craft beer and wine and some Irish food.

It also allows them to contribute to the Tierney music fund and preserve music and culture in our city and support future restoration projects of the ICHC.

From 6:30 to 8:30 enjoy Irish whiskeys, craft beers, and superb wines, as well as tastes of Irish themed food selections.

Myserk will provide Irish music during the tasting, and at 9:00 everyone will gather in Quinlin's Pub for a rousing hooley with live music.

A silent auction will add to the fun.

Tickets are only $40 per person or $70 for two people - a great value for food, drinks, and entertainment! Proceeds will go towards kicking off the Tierney Irish Music Fund and funding new flooring in the parlors.
