Thursday career fair to fill high-demand jobs in Milwaukee's water sector
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Area employers are set to host a career fair focused on the water sector due to a tight labor market with some vacancy rates reported as high as 25%. The One Water Career Fair takes place on Thursday, Oct. 26 at Mitchell St. Arts in Milwaukee, between 3 and 6 p.m.
The fair will showcase a range of job opportunities in the water sector, including roles for field technicians, construction laborer, and various administrative and research positions. More than two dozen public and private sector employers will be present to provide detailed information on open positions and assist with the hiring process.
Job seekers can also get help with their resumes from the Job Center of Wisconsin, while the Milwaukee Area Technical College and the UW School of Freshwater Sciences will be available to discuss certificate and degree programs.
