MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Thunderbirds have arrived in Milwaukee.
The U.S. Air Force Precision Flying Team is here for the Air and Water Show this weekend.
Six F-16C jets will fly in formation, with only a few feet separating the tips of their wings.
"Our mission statement is to recruit, retain, and inspire, so that's what we go out there week after to week to do in our shows," said Capt. Michael Brewer. This is Brewer's first year on the team. "I grew up in Chicago actually, just down the road, and I grew up watching the air show every single year, so to be able to go out and perform in it is truly a dream come true for me."
Captain Brewer says there are eight pilots, 12 officers, and 130 total team members who get these planes in the air.
You'll see them Saturday and Sunday at the lakefront.
