MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Historic Third Ward will host its annual art festival Saturday, Aug. 30, and Sunday, Aug. 31, featuring more than 200 artists from across the country.
Jordan Dechambre, marketing director for the Historic Third Ward Association, joined us on Tuesday, Aug. 26 with a preview. She said the free event will take place on Broadway between St. Paul and Menomonee from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
Art in a wide range of styles will be available, including ceramics, fiber, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, photography, printmaking, wood and furniture. Visitors can also watch live demonstrations and talk with artists at their booths.
Family activities include a children’s art tent, face painting and live music on two stages. The Marshall Building will hold an Art Crawl both days with more than a dozen galleries open. Food, beverages and parking will be available through neighborhood vendors and structures.
