'The pressures on': Packers fans show out in Chicago ahead of Wild Card Playoff Game
CHICAGO (CBS 58) -- The countdown is on for the Packers vs. Bears wild card playoff game.
Friday night, Packer fans made their presence known in Chicago at a free pep rally at Wills Northwoods Inn, an iconic bar known for showing its Wisconsin team pride.
“It’s definitely you know, the pressures on,” said Ryan Kothrade, a Packers fan.
From signs, to cheeseheads, celebrity guests and everything in-between, fans showed up and showed out in their green and gold the Packers Everywhere Pep Rally.
“I’m a lifelong packer fan,” said Colleen Zaccard, a Packers fan. “We are really in enemy territory, so the more community we can get here the better.”
Saturday night will be the 213th meeting between the Packers and the Bears, but it's only their third ever match up in the playoffs. Some fans say this historic rivalry is personal.
“We’ve got to go all the way, my husband is a bears fan,” said Zaccard. “We’ve got to take him down and make it to the Super Bowl.
Regardless of whether they will be at Soldier Field, or cheering at a screen, fans say they will be loud and proud.
