MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — An immersive courtroom drama that puts audience members in the role of jurors is coming to Milwaukee.

"The Jury Experience — The Deadly Boat Ride" will be hosted at the War Memorial Center, giving participants the opportunity to watch a live courtroom drama, weigh evidence and ultimately decide the verdict.

CBS 58 spoke with Rafael Meninelli, a member of the production team, about the interactive experience.

The fictional case centers on the son of a powerful politician who takes the wheel of his family's speedboat during a summer night with an ex-lover and several old friends aboard. Hours later, one person is dead, another is in a coma and the politician's son is facing a murder charge.

Audience members are tasked with deciding whether the death was the result of jealous rage or whether there is more to the case.

Throughout the approximately hourlong performance, participants vote at key moments using their smartphones. Those decisions can reveal different elements of the case and help shape the experience before the audience delivers its final verdict.

Tickets start at $49.

Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, at 4:30 and 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 19, at 4:30 and 7 p.m.
