Teenager seriously injured in Delafield rollover accident
DELAFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A rollover accident involving two SUVs and a box truck reportedly resulted in serious injuries on I-94, according to a press release by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, May 30 at around 9:42 p.m. in the eastbound lane of I-94 at Highway C.
A 17-year-old boy, driving one of the SUVs, collided with the box truck driven by a 44-year-old man, causing his vehicle to overturn and strike another SUV.
The teenage driver was extricated by Lake Country Fire and Rescue and transferred to Aurora Summit Hospital with significant, but non-life-threatening injuries. The box truck driver, and occupants of the second SUV, were treated for minor injuries on-site.
Following the crash, I-94 eastbound was shut for two hours for investigation and removal of debris.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol say that they are continuing their investigation into the crash.
