Teen shoves 66-year-old teacher to ground over cell phone

HOUSTON -- A Houston teenager is in trouble after shoving a 66-year-old substitute teacher to the ground during a confrontation revolving around the teen's cell phone.


School officials say 66-year-old Beverly Round confiscated the teen's cell phone, and another student recorded the incident using their phone. The 16-year-old boy is seen pushing the substitute teacher to the ground to get his phone back.


Parents who saw the video voiced their outrage at students who cheered the teen during this confrontation. 


The 16-year-old boy has been charged with Injury to the Elderly.
