Teacher accused of punching 16-year-old student in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a case of child abuse.
It happened on Wednesday, May 1, around 10:00 a.m. near Sherman and Wright.
According to police, a teacher punched a 16-year-old student causing pain.
The teacher, a 61-year-old man, was arrested on May 8.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days, according to police.
