Survey results show opposition to using taxpayer money for AmFam Field renovations

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new survey shows opposition to the idea of using taxpayer money to fund renovations at the Brewers stadium.

Public Policy Polling asked more than 1,300 Wisconsin voters several questions about the plan for American Family Field.

Twenty-nine percent support using tax money to pay for improvements, while 55% are opposed. Sixteen percent said they were unsure.

When asked about using the money for other things like public safety, health care and roads, the opposition was even stronger.

Sixteen percent still favored using the money on the stadium while 70% said it should be used on other government priorities.
