ELM GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- New surveillance video shows a 3-year-old boy being rescued by a lifeguard and we now have the 911 call made just after the boy was revived by CPR.
"We just had a kid, I'm not sure what happened, but they ended up doing CPR on him but he's revived right now and we need you to come check on him," the 911 caller said to dispatchers.
On Wednesday afternoon, Elm Grove police say a 3-year-old boy was left unsupervised in the Village Pool for several minutes. Video shows a lifeguard jumping into the water and pulling the boy to safety.
Moments later, other lifeguards rush over to help and the pool is emptied. The child was saved by CPR and taken to the hospital.
A police report reveals a sibling also had to be rescued from a pool this year and the boy who nearly drowned was found wandering alone in February.
The Elm Grove Police Department has recommended charges to the District Attorney's Office.
