Summerfest increases wages for all seasonal positions

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee world Festival, Inc. (MWF), producer of Summerfest, announced that it is increasing the wages for most seasonal workers by $2 to $3.50 per hour, effective Aug. 15.

Officials say employees can earn between $14 and $23 per hour.

MWF said the decision was made in order to retain and attract the best in the event business for upcoming concerts, events, and Summerfest. The wage increase will be for most current and new employees, except those who receive gratuities.

Officials say all departments are currently hiring, but help is especially needed in the following areas:

  • Admissions
  • Beverage operations
  • Facilities and ground operations
  • Security
