MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Chance the Rapper will take the stage at Summerfest Friday, Sept. 3. See what he had to say about performing at the Big Gig here.

It's day two of Summerfest and organizers say they're happy to be back in the presence of live music. Reflecting on day one with new protocols in place Sarah Pancheri, vice president of Milwaukee World Festival Inc. says they're ready to rock.

"Of course we have a little rust to kick off two years of not doing the event," said Pancheri.

This year, the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCST) is now offering shuttles to Summerfest, so Summerfest is offering their own shuttles for $12 round trip. You can reserve tickets online.

You can also reserve a parking spot in one of the lots of the festival before you get there.

Motorcycle parking is no longer free. It costs $15. It's a change to Summerfest that has some people upset.

"I’m not enthused that Harley Davidson pulled out of that parking lot sponsorship," said Allen Kah, a festival-goer.

The Hop is also offering extended hours, running until 1 a.m.

Some downtown businesses are happy to have the music festival back.

Who's on Third is one business shuttling people to Brewers games and Summerfest.

Gabriel Burkhalter is the manager at Who's on Third.

"Happy to have it back, happy to have customers come in, seeing some of the local faces," said Burkhalter. "People from out of town coming back and using our shuttles."

For many performers, Summerfest is their first show since the pandemic shut stuff down.

Twenty One Pilots is kicking off the first show of their tour Saturday night at Summerfest.
