MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Heavy rain didn’t stop festivalgoers from enjoying music at Summerfest Wednesday night.
In a crowd of hundreds, a group of Milwaukee girls were sporting a glittery Fourth of July outfit inspired by Kesha performing Wednesday night at Summerfest.
“Kesha's coming to Milwaukee so we're like we have to go and it's Fourth of July our favorite holiday,” Concertgoer Alexis Brown said.
Hundreds stood in their spot to see Kesha, even when rain poured down for about an hour.
“To see Kesha she's worth it,” one concert-goer said. “I just hope my phone still works tomorrow.”
Day seven of Summerfest in Milwaukee is bringing families and friends together this Independence Day.
“People are just loving the Fourth of July down at Summerfest, beautiful day, the heat is much less than the weekend. We are ready to Rock!” VP of Sales and Marketing Sarah Pancheri said.
Wednesday night’s acts featured Kesha, Pixies, The Fray, Gavin DeGraw, Journey and Def Leppard. As many celebrate Independence Day across the country, thousands are enjoying it together while listening to music in Milwaukee.
“No one does it like Summerfest like Milwaukee,” an excited festivalgoer said.
