The owner of Germantown's "Swing Time" says all the wins coming out of Miller Park have translated to an uptick in business, and Matt Roadhouse says he also notices a lot more Brew Crew apparel being worn. The batting cages have also gotten some extra exposure from an online leisure guide ranking this popular attraction in Washington County as one of the top one hundred places to have some summer fun.
I had the chance to take a few swings this morning, first with softball practice, and then I advanced to the fast hard balls. I was told the automatic ball dispenser was throwing out pitches with speeds of at least 75 mph (although there's running debate in the newsroom if it wasn't more like 60 mph.)
Beside the batting cages, there's miniature golf, a driving range with heated tees for winter, and electric go cart racing. Click here for all the details about "Swing Time."
