Stressed out by the election? Cats can help.

STRESSED OUT BY THE ELECTION?
WISCONSIN HUMANE SOCIETY CAT ADOPTERS GO HOME WITH CHOCOLATE AND EAR PLUGS

Stressed out by this election? The Wisconsin Humane Society has a solution: bi-pawtisan cats!

Now through November 13, WHS is offering 25% off kitten adoption fees and totally waived fees for adult cats (waived adult fees are actually standard 365 days a year). Plus, every cat adopter receives a special Election Kit with the essentials for a stress-free election week: chocolate, ear plugs, and a chance to win a cat climbing tree.

There are 540 cats in care at WHS’s three shelter locations in Milwaukee, Racine and Saukville, compared to 450 at the same time last year.

“We suspect that the warm weather may have an influence on the volume of kittens and cats we’re seeing this time of year, and the high population puts animals at risk for illness and stress,” said Angela Speed, vice president of communications at WHS.

“We know cats improve stress levels in the home, too. You can save a life, feel better and wake up on November 9th feeling awesome, no matter what,” Speed said.
