February goes into the records warm and dry
This past weekend was nice, cool and comfy with highs in the low 70s. But if you like the heat, there is definitely something for you in the forecast! The low temps Monday stayed cool with everyone dropping into the 40s and 50s. It was the first time Milwaukee has dropped into the 50s since the middle of July!
We had 45 consecutive nights with lows at or above 60* which is the 6th longest streak on record. The record is 55 nights set back in 1995.
Highs return to average numbers Monday and Tuesday in the upper 70s. Wednesday looks like a cooler day around 70* with more average highs Thursday.
Check out that warm up that starts right in time for Labor Day Weekend! Highs will reach the upper 80s and might even hit the 90s for the weekend and start of next week. That heat may last. The Climate Prediction Center gives Wisconsin a very good chance for warmer than average highs. At least upper 80s are possible through the first 10 days of the month.
