STEVENS POINT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- State Senator Patrick Testin announced his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin Sunday, Sept. 26.
Testin, the 33-year-old Senate President Pro Tempore, has served in the State Senate since 2016 representing District 24 encompassing parts of Central and Western Wisconsin, including the cities of Stevens Point, Sparta, Tomah, and Wautoma.
"I’m joining this race because, in 2022, Wisconsin Republicans must go on offense to fight, win, and get our state back on the right track," said Testin in a statement released on Sunday. "I have a proven record of winning tough races, fighting for our conservative values, and bringing people together for the betterment of all Wisconsinites."
Testin is a member of the Republican Party and a native of the Madison area.
