RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jenna Crawford of the Racine Campus of the Wisconsin Humane Society joined us in studio to promote the WHS Summer Match Program. Thanks to some incredibly generous friends of WHS, you have an opportunity to make your gift go three times as far for animals in need. Donations made to any of our campuses are being *tripled* until August 31st. Our summer match is our largest campaign, and it couldn’t come at a better time with more than 1,300 animals currently in our care. Many more in our community are in need of food, water, shelter, medical care, behavioral support, and a loving family to cherish them. Over the course of a year, thousands of animals come through our doors. They require varying degrees of treatment, from simple vaccinations to life-saving surgery and extended periods of therapy. As animals heal and await adoption, we’ll meet whatever other needs they have, too. As you can imagine, the expenses really add up. The Wisconsin Humane Society serves over 65,000 animals every year. WHS receives no general government funding, and we’re not a part of any national umbrella groups. Our work relies solely
