State Lawmakers Call for New Safety Measures at Hoan Bridge

State lawmakers are calling for new safety measures on Milwaukee's Hoan Bridge.

It comes after a man was killed when his pickup truck broke through the guardrail and crashed to the ground on December 19th.

In a letter, lawmakers are asking the d-o-t explore safety options including taller guardrails and improved warning signs about sharp curves.

They also suggest having snow plows remove snow from the bridge completely when possible.

Christopher Weber was 27 years old.

No one else was involved in the crash.
