Waukesha (CBS 58)--It's a moving tribute to veterans of all ages makes a stop at the Steinhafels location in Waukesha.
Through this Friday, more than 200 photos are on display of those who both served and have been a part of “Honor Flight” to Washington DC to visit various war memorials and military sites.
Last year alone more than 800 people made this special trip to the nation’s capital. Those who have participated say the actual daylong event takes on so many different meanings.
At this exhibit, you also have the chance of writing customized letters to vets. After this week, the display moves to the Hartland Public Library where it’ll reside through most of January. If you’re interested in seeing the exhibit or want to sign up for an Honor Flight experience itself just click here.
