WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Riley Peters of Milwaukee has been selected as the grand champion of the 2026 "Fairtastic" poster competition, Wisconsin State Fair officials announced Wednesday, March 25.

Peters' artwork features a Wisconsin-shaped potato rooted in themes of agriculture, entertainment and tradition, tying into the fair's 175th anniversary and this year's "Rooted in Tradition" theme.

Peters is a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.

Emily Bennett of Appleton and Katie French of Middleton were named finalists. Commemorative posters will be available for purchase at the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair, which runs Aug. 6 - 16.
