Star Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski partners with Wisconsin Parkinson Association

Wisconsin Parkinson Association

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Miz is taking his stellar start in Major League Baseball and putting the effort towards funding a cause that is near to his heart, and the heart of millions of others.

Milwaukee Brewers 2025 All-Star rookie pitcher Jacob Misiorowski is teaming up with the Wisconsin Parkinson Association in a new awareness and fundraising campaign for families affected by Parkinson’s disease, the organization announced on Monday, Aug. 4.

The idea is personal for Misiorowski, whose father was diagnosed in 2014.

More than 20,000 people in Wisconsin reportedly live with Parkinson’s, a progressive neurological condition that causes tremors, stiffness, slowness and balance issues. The number is expected to grow.

Misiorowski will participate in a range of public events, including a ball signing to benefit the organization. WPA Executive Director Kelly Cieslak said in a press release that Misiorowski’s support will help amplify the group’s reach and mission.

The WPA connects individuals and families to education, support groups and community resources. There is no cure for Parkinson’s, but symptoms can be managed with medication and exercise.
