Spotty showers possible to kick off the weekend

Just two days ago we were dealing with April snow, Thursday we had brilliant sunshine with highs in the 50s and Friday we could see a few spotty showers. Southeast Wisconsin is still overall so any additional rain helps. The latest drought monitor released Thursday shows no change for our area with all of Kenosha and southern Racine Counties under a moderate drought and the majority of the area listed as abnormally dry.

Overall the rain chance for Friday and Saturday has decreased but both days could see some showers. Friday's shower chance is best in the afternoon and evening. The rain chance for Saturday is best along a front that moves in around midday and lasts through the early afternoon.

If you do have some outside weekend plans don't cancel them, just bring the umbrella and keep the Ready Weather app handy. Any rain that we do see won't amount to much with rain totals looking at less than a tenth of an inch for most and less than a quarter inch for everyone.

Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track any showers that pop up.
