'A little competition:' Milwaukee DPW approves two scooter companies to be a part of pilot study

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Spin Scooters were spotted in Milwaukee Tuesday morning, one day after the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works approved its application to participate in the city’s Dockless Scooter Pilot Study.

Applications were approved for Bird and Spin on Monday. Those companies follow Lime, whose application was approved in June.

Bird says it will launch its fleet of electric scooters in Milwaukee on Wednesday, August 14.

Each company is allowed 350 scooters.
