Special attractions at Summerfest

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summerfest has sent a list of special attractions during the summer festival.

The Paddleboat Water Experience is open from noon to 7 p.m. Using a paddleboat, take in the scenic view of Summerfest & the lakefront area with the backdrop of the scenic Milwaukee skyline.

Summerfest's Wheel in the Sky ferris wheel is open from noon to 11:30 p.m. It is located at the south end of the grounds and gives spectacular views of Summerfest, downtown Milwaukee and Lake Michigan.

The fan favorite skyglider is open from noon to midnight every day, weather permitting. The gentle ride gives passengers scenic views of Henry Maier Festival Park, Lake Michigan and people watching from above. One-way and round-trip fares are available. Under 48" tall has to be accompanied by a responsible person.

L.L. Bean has Kayak and Stand-up paddleboard courses over the weekend from June 29 through July 1 from noon to 1 p.m. 

The Summerfest Parade will happen during the weekend of June 27, June 28, June 29, July 5 and July 6 at 3 p.m. The parade will start at the south end of Henry Maier Festival Park at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and complete a full lap of the grounds. Festgoers are encouraged to join in with the parade.

The Elizabeth "Bo" Block Family Fountain and splash pad will be open weather permitting every day to keep the kids cool on hot days.
