Some Needed Rain May Impact Your Weekend Plans

After three consecutive days with highs in the low 70s today will be Cooler, but still very nice across Southeast Wisconsin.  High pressure will drift over the Great Lakes region today and tonight bringing clear skies and seasonal temperatures.

By Friday morning we'll see increasing clouds as a low pressure system approaches from the southwest.  Rain is expected to arrive by Friday evening with occasional rain and showers lasting through Saturday morning. Below is a 5-hour rain accumulation product from 7PM through midnight.  The second image shows the "potential" storm total accumulation ending at noon Saturday.

Though rain is typically not a welcomed weekend event, these Saturday morning showers will be beneficial.  We've received less than .2" of rain so far this month leaving us with a deficit of about 1.6".  This rain will at least make a dent in this deficit.  Plus, we still salvage Saturday afternoon with some sunshine, and as of now, Sunday looks very nice with sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 50s.
