Soggy, Foggy Start to Tuesday Then Warming Up
Noon Update: The wet weather has now moved out of the viewing area. Other than an isolated sprinkle, or flurry early this evening, we are starting to dry out. Take a look at the totals:
But we still have some fog concerns across the area in light of all this moisture. Reduced visibility may continue this afternoon because we aren't forecasting much wind to help mix up the air mass.
The other issue come later this evening and overnight will be the possibility of refreezing on roads and sidewalks. Any standing water will likely have a chance to freeze over tonight with lows expected to fall to the upper 20s. You may want to consider another dose of salt or sand to your driveway or sidewalk. Major roadways will likely stay in decent shape.
After today, the big story will be the warmer weather coming. 40-50 degree temperatures will arrive by Thursday and last into the weekend.
But we'll have continued chances for showers throughout much of the weekend although Saturday should be fairly dry.
