Snowfall Across the Area

The snow has come and gone, but the brisk winds remain. The winds continue to create some blowing snow issues, especially on north-south roads and as a result, surfaces are slick in spots. Here's a round up of higher snow totals from Thursday's storm from the National Weather Service in Milwaukee:

We're now running above average for snowfall this month. Here's a breakdown of our seasonal snow so far in Milwaukee:

Month Snowfall Monthly Average
November 4.8\" 2.4\"
December 0.5\" 10.6\"
January 10\" 14.7\" (6\" Above normal to date)

Our running total sits at 15.3\", which is 1.7\" below normal. At this time last year we had already picked up 28.7\"! We currently have a snow depth of 4\" and there's not much additional snow in the forecast. In fact, as it looks now, there's no accumulating snow in the forecast for the next ten days. The temps will also gradually return to normal.
