MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- People put on their gloves and boots this morning for some New Year's Day fun at the 39th annual 'Cool Fool Kite Festival' at Veterans Park!
The morning was filled with kite flying, ice sculpting and free hot chocolate.
Organizer and Owner of Gift of Wings Kite Store Scott Fisher thinks it's the best way to kick off the new year.
"I always say there are only two things to do on New Year's Day - go jump in the lake, what I don't want to do, or go fly a kite, and through the years this event has gotten bigger and bigger and bigger," said Fisher.
Gift of Wings also had a 30% discount on all of its kites.
