Snow chances return for the weekend

Since December 1st Milwaukee is running well below normal on snowfall.  Take a look at the graphic above.

November had over 6 inches of snow with very little for December into early January.  The first week of January was also unseasonably warm with several days in the 50s.  Keep in mind January is our snowiest month with over with over 14 inches of snow.

A system to our south will try to push snow showers across our area on Saturday.  As of today the best chance for an inch or two would occur along the border.

There are some models that keep the majority of this south across northern Illinois.  It will need to be watched; however, this type of snow won't really put much of a dent in our snowfall deficit.  The snow is expected to move out Saturday night.
