MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- All hands on board for a major restoration project happening right now at the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center.
Thirty Ensign boats are being restored, many of them more than 50 years old. The original molds are being used to create new decks and much of the original woodwork is being salvaged too. Project backers say these type of vessels are worth saving.
Beside the Ensign restoration, tote bags made from old sails are being sold as well for fundraising. If you want to make a donation to the Sailing Center, just click here.
