According to a 2011 study, fecal matter can be found on one out of every six smartphones.
Other studies have found serious pathogens on devices like MRSA and E. coli, according to USA Today.
Most phone companies have specific instructions for cleaning your devices.
Apple advises against using liquids or disinfectants on its phones. Motorola suggests using a microfiber cloth.
