Six teenagers arrested for two separate armed robberies in Riverwest

A 37 year-old man and a 21 year-old woman were robbed in two separate incidents by six teenagers in Riverwest on September 6. 
District Five officers responded to the 1000 block of East Townsend Street around 9:00 PM on September 6 for a report of an armed robbery. 
Several suspects, one of them armed with a gun, approached the victim, a 21-year-old Milwaukee woman, and demanded her belongings. The suspects took the items and fled on foot.
About ten minutes later, the group committed a similar crime where they stole items at gunpoint from a 37-year-old Milwaukee man in the 3400 block of North Weil Street. Around 9:30 p.m., District Five officers on patrol in the area saw suspects matching the description and took six of them into custody. Several of the stolen items were found on the suspects. The suspects are a 16-year-old male, four 15-year-old males, and a 14-year-old male.
