Six Teenagers Arrested for South Side Carjackings

Six teenagers including a 12-year-old were arrested for South Side carjackings.

According to Milwaukee Police, the carjackings took place around 5:55 p.m. on June 4 in the 1900 block of S. 30th Street. Several suspects inside a Dodge Caravan pulled up to two victims, one driving a Ford Escape and one driving a GMC Terrain, and demanded their cars at gunpoint.

The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicles they just obtained. Around 10:00 p.m. the Ford Escape was spotted by officers in the 2700 block of N. 26th Street and they began a pursuit.

The Escape eventually lost control, crashed, and suspects from that car, a 12-year-old male, a 13-year-old female, and a 15-year-old male, were quickly taken into custody. Around the same time, the Terrain was spotted in the same area and three suspects from that car were taken into custody. Those suspects are a 12-year-old male, a 15-year-old male, and an 18-year-old man. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
