ShotSpotter Alerts Police; Officers Find Wounded Woman

Responding to a ShotSpotter alert, Milwaukee Police officers discovered a young woman who had been shot insider her car Sunday night.  The woman, believed to be in her mid-20s was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is described as a serious injury.   According to the MPD, the ShotSpotter alert came in around 11:20 PM from the area S 14th Street and W Arthur Avenue.  The woman was found sitting in an automobile.  The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear and are under investigation.
