Shots Fired Call Leads to Long Standoff on City's South Side

Milwaukee Police Department responded to a shots fired call Saturday evening that led to a long standoff on the city's south side. After "numerous hours" a man was taken into custody.

Milwaukee Police received a shots fired call at 7:40 p.m. in the 2300 block of W. Van Beck Ave. (near S. 27th and W. Howard Ave.). Police report that it took a long time to get the 48-year-old man into custody. 

Charges are still pending for the incident.
