SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Shorewood Police responded to one car theft and two entries to cars on the last day of May. All of the incidents involved Jeeps.
The first incident was reported around 1:45 a.m. on Elmdale Court north of Capitol. A second was reported just after 2:15 a.m. two blocks away near Capitol and Wilson. In both incidents, a suspect got into the car through a window.
The car theft happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Jeep was locked at the time of the theft and was stolen without keys.
Shorewood Police are encouraging residents to use extra precaution when leaving their car unattended and to make sure it is locked with an anti-theft system or device operating at all times.
