Shoplifting incident at outlet mall in Pleasant Prairie turns into Armed Robbery

An armed robbery occurred at the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets shopping mall Sunday afternoon, police confirm.

The incident started when an employee from the Polo Store confronted a suspected shoplifter. This is when the suspect displayed a handgun.

After displaying the handgun, the suspect fled in a black SUV, described as a Chevy Avalanche. 

The suspect is described as a shorter than average black male with a white t-shirt and dreadlocks in a ponytail. It is possible that this man was connected to early incidents involving two black females who may have been driving a blue minivan.

The suspect was also accompanied by another male who fled the crime scene on foot. No suspects have been located at this time.
