Sheriff's Office: Driver arrested for OWI after calling to report hearing voices in the walls of his semi

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Neenah man has been arrested for his 4th OWI after calling police to report that he was hearing voices in the walls of his semi-tractor.

The call came in around 8:09 a.m. on Friday.

Racine County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the northbound CTH G exit ramp of I-94 where they located the driver of the semi.

Deputies initially thought he was experiencing a mental health crisis.

When deputies searched the interior of the semi, they found open intoxicants, drugs, and other paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The driver failed standardized field sobriety testing.

He is facing charges of OWI, felony operating with a restricted controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open intoxicants.
