MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Despite difficult times, even the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact.
That is the philosophy that drives World Smile Day, celebrated on the first Friday of each October.
Despite the dozens of reasons any person could list to frown, such as the pandemic, inflation, climate change, hunger and crime in the city, the global non-profit Smile Train is on a mission to help people recognize all of the reasons that exist to make each person smile about the simple pleasures that are most-treasured.
Susannah Shaefer, Smile Train President and CEO joined us on Tuesday, Oct. 4 to discuss the organization's research on what makes people smile, as well as simple tips to encourage friends, family and colleagues to take a moment to stop, smile and share some kindness.
