Sexual assault charges against Jacob Blake dropped; pleads guilty to disorderly conduct

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jacob Blake, a man shot by a Kenosha police officer back in August, will not face sexual assault charges for incidents that happened months before the shooting.

Friday, Nov. 6, Blake appeared in court virtually from a rehabilitation center in Illinois.

Kenosha police were trying to arrest Blake for a warrant on those charges when he was then shot seven times on Aug. 23.

Friday, the state dropped the two sexual assault charges and Blake pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct, for which he was sentenced to two years of probation.
