Severe Weather Possible Sunday

It seems to be the trend so far this Spring - at least one wet day during the weekend with stronger storms possible. That trend continues tomorrow when heavy rain and storms will be likely in the morning followed by a chance for quick moving stronger storms in the afternoon. The morning rain will move through around 6 AM ending just after noon. Some heavy rain is likely with gusty wind possible.

If the atmosphere can recharge quick enough by the early afternoon storms will form just west or right over our area. These storms will quickly move SE and out of our area 3 hours after they form. Right now the best time for storms looks like 2-7 PM. The below is a screen shot of our RPM model showing the possibility of storms around 2 PM.

The better chance for severe weather is located just south of Milwaukee and even better south of the WI/IL border where storms look more likely. The latest severe weather outlook from the NWS puts a \"slight\" risk for severe weather barely south of Milwaukee with an \"enhanced\" risk around Chicago.

If strong or even severe storms do form the biggest risk will be for damaging wind although heavy rain and some hail may be possible. An isolated tornado is possible but not expected.
