Several races in contention during Wisconsin primary

MILWAUKEE -- If electronic billboards and television ads haven't made it clear, August 12 is primary election day in Wisconsin. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and there are several big races underway. 


Locally, incumbent Sheriff David Clarke is up against Milwaukee police Lieutenant Chris Moews for Milwaukee County Sheriff. The winner will face Independent Angela Walker in November. 


Statewide, Mary Burke is up against Brett Hulsey to become the Democratic gubernatorial candidate facing Scott Walker in November. 


Susan Happ, Ismael Ozanne and State Representative Jon Richards are squaring off in the Democratic Primary for Attorney General. The winner will take on Republican Brad Schimel in November. 


Democrats John Lehman and Mary Jo Walters are looking to challenge Rebecca Kleefich for Lieutenant Governor.
