Serious car crash near 6th and Wisconsin, one victim trapped, extricated from vehicle
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police say the 29-year-old woman died due to her injuries on Sunday, Sept. 20.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the upcoming days.
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a serious car accident that happened near 6th and Wisconsin around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.
Police say a car ran a red light, striking another car, causing the struck vehicle to flip on its side. The driver of the flipped car was partially eject, trapped and had to be extricated. The 29-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition, but stable.
Police say the occupants of the flipped car included a 29-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man, and a 26-year-old main. All three sustained non-life threatening injuries.
An occupant in the striking vehicle, a 28-year-old man, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the striking vehicle, a 26-year-old man, was arrested. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the upcoming days.
